Mason Williams has been appointed to a major multi-year contract to help create Britain’s first Six Star Resort – Camel Creek in Cornwall. The agency will oversee global and national communications working closely with owner John Broome.
“I have worked with John Broome for a long time and we have done amazing things together” commented John Williams, CEO. “Camel Creek is typical of the way he works, extraordinary vision on a grand scale combined with meticulous attention to the smallest details. It is a fantastic game-changing project and Mason Williams is proud to have been chosen to work on it.”
The 300-acre Camel Creek site is situated within ten minutes of Newquay airport and Padstow in North Cornwall. It contains the existing Crealy Adventure Park, which will be upgraded and developed as a low impact family attraction. Camel Creek will be a resort of over 200 luxury holiday villas set in rolling parkland surrounding a sophisticated one and a half acre covered sub-tropical garden and pool complex.
John Broome, most famous for founding Alton Towers, the UK’s premier theme park, commented: “The UK doesn’t have an equivalent to the continental and American luxury residential resorts – until now. Camel Creek is something completely fresh to the UK and will deliver a major boost to the local economy. We chose Mason Williams both because of a long history of working together but mainly due to their expertise in working with developments of similar standing in Spain and Italy.”
Mason Williams has already started work on what John Williams described as a “significant” addition to the agency’s roster of prestigious consumer clients. The team handling the account will be drawn from the London and Manchester offices.
